FOR INDIVUDAL CLIENTS
Hello and welcome! Here is a bit about how I work with individual clients and my areas of focus as a therapist. While all clients are welcome here, I specialize in helping creatives, unconventional deep thinkers, highly sensitive persons, and empaths untangle themselves from outgrown patterns that keep them from thriving. These patterns may include excelling in certain areas of life, while over-functioning or under-functioning in other areas, feeling stuck, and sometimes unintentionally relying on self-defeating and or co-dependent coping strategies in relationships.
Whether single, coupled, or raising little ones, many of my clients struggle with self-affirming life goals, finding the 'right' career path, and may experience perfectionism and low self-esteem despite high achievements and creative abilities. They may also have a history of overlooking red flags in romantic relationships, leading to disappointing entanglements with emotionally unavailable, unstable, or gas-lighting-prone partners.
A history of family environments characterized by emotional immaturity, confusing roles, unhealthy boundaries, complex and/or generational trauma, toxic shame, addiction, and various forms of emotionally difficult experiences also often accompany these challenges.
If one or more of the above patterns feel familiar to you, and you feel ready to transform inner and outer patterns that keep you from thriving, you've likely come to the right place.
In my practice, I integrate diverse approaches, drawing from Growth Mindset research, Positive Psychology, Trauma-informed Psychotherapy, Solution-focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Focusing-Oriented Psychotherapy, Neuroscience, mindful awareness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Integral Theory, somatic modalities, EMDR, Family Systems Theory, Transpersonal Psychology, Depth Psychology, and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RODBT), among others...
I'm also a Clinical Herbalist, Writer, and a Certified HeartMath facilitator (www.heartmath.org),.
